Photo: Dhaka TribuneSince the beginning of March, Bangladesh has recorded 17 Covid-19 casesThe Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has ordered all bars around the country to remain shut until March 31, in another government initiative to prevent the deadly coronavirus from spreading further. The DNC issued a notice, signed by its Deputy Director (Admin) Mohammad Mamun on behalf of the director general, in this regard on Thursday. It said all the bars in hotels, restaurants and clubs across the country will have to stay closed till March 31 in light of the coronavirus situation. So far, since the beginning of March, Bangladesh has recorded 17 Covid-19 cases, three of which were confirmed on Thursday. The government recently also closed all educational institutions around the country, while owners shut down cinema halls to join the efforts to curb coronavirus spread.
