The wedding took place at government officers’ dormitory adjacent to Faruki Park in the city on Friday. However, the Civil Surgeon Dr Shah Alam claimed the ceremony was a simple one and did not see much of a gathering. He told Dhaka Tribune that his daughter’s wedding had been scheduled a month ago and so he could not have stopped the event. If the civil surgeon had indeed organized a public gathering, his superiors will surely take action against him.
