Dr Shahnila Ferdousi, line director at the Centre for Disease Control at DGHS, confirming the matter, said: "One of the two supplied to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka is already operational. "We hope the other one, along with the one supplied to Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong, one at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet, and another one at Benapole land port, will be operational by today (Tuesday). A lone thermal scanner at Dhaka airport had stopped working Monday night, owing to the fact that it served to scan passengers from four flights one after the other, Dr Shahnila said. It is operational as of Tuesday noon after repair work, said the director.
