The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) informed the matter to Munshiganj Civil Surgeon Abul Kalam Azad in the early hours of Saturday. On Wednesday, 16 samples were sent to IEDCR in Dhaka, the civil surgeon told Dhaka Tribune on Saturday. “As the medical officer has been infected, therefore the emergency department of the health complex was shutdown, Azad said. Till now, coronavirus or Covid-19 has affected 210 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
