A €47,000 stash of cannabis and cocaine was found in a cold box locked inside a shed at the back of a house in Mallow. In a cool box container were two packets of cannabis and a bag containing cocaine and white powder, suspected of being a mixing agent. The senior counsel stressed the charges of dealing cannabis and cocaine dated back two and a half years. Judge Dermot Sheehan said unfortunately for the accused man, he came to the attention of gardaí more recently for suspected drug-driving. The judge imposed a sentence of five and a half years with the last two years suspended at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
