Coquitlam man charged after alleged machete incident at SkyTrain station


A man has been charged after an incident at the 29th Avenue SkyTrain station late last year. Vancouver police say Christopher Lee Boyda, 37, has been charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats. On Dec. 19, transit police responded to reports of a man wielding a machete and threatening commuters on a train around 8:30 a.m. PT. A cellphone video captured part of the incident at the Vancouver's 29th Avenue SkyTrain station on Dec. 19. Jason Doucette said Boyda, a Coquitlam resident, has been released from hospital and is in police custody.
