Drive BC says the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt, B.C., will be closed in both directions at least until 11 p.m. PT Sunday due to a vehicle accident. CLOSED - #BCHwy5 - Due to vehicle incident at Snowshed Hill, the #Coquihalla is closed between #HopeBC and #Merritt. On Sunday, Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt. This highway camera picture from Drive BC shows vehicles lined up along the Coquihalla Highway near the Zopkios Rest Area. There is no detour available and Drive BC does not have an estimate of when the closure will end.
