GEORGE TOWN: Police are waiting for bomb disposal experts to determine if two recovered grenades are live explosive weapons. Penang Narcotics Investigation Department chief Asst Comm Maidu Abu Bakar said the investigation was ongoing. On Sunday at about 7.30pm, a police anti-narcortic team found two grenades and 689 live bullets when they raided an apartment on the 15th floor of a high-rise block in Bukit Dumbar. However, the raiding team found two grenades and over 600 live bullets in a fire hose compartment. At about 1am yesterday, police were seen leaving the scene carrying a box wrapped with a green cloth, believed to contain the hand grenades.
