DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao – Police arrested a member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on Thursday for bringing a gun that later found to be unlicensed when visiting a relative in jail. Abdulmaute Salik, a resident of Barangay Langeban, Kabuntalan town in Maguindanao, was also discovered to have a pending warrant of arrest for kidnapping charges. ADVERTISEMENTHe was then turned over to the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or CIDG-Maguindanao field office, according to Chief Inspector Sabri Lakibul, Datu Odin Sinsuat (DOS) town police chief. Police later found out that Salik had a standing warrant of arrest for kidnapping charges, issued by RTC-Branch 13 Judge Bansawan Ibrahim. Graciano Mijares, police director for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), lauded the police for the arrest of Salik.
