District police chief Supt Mohd Taufik Maidin said the suspect, Khan Amjad Ali, 21, is hiding somewhere in the country. He said the investigation showed that the Pakistani national had been working at the tin mining quarry in Felda Aring 2 for just over a month. “We believe the suspect is on the run and has left the district,” he said. State Perhilitan deputy director Wan Sabaruddin Wan Nordin said the suspects were arrested with the help of police on Tuesday. Wan Sabaruddin said checks showed that the suspects do not have a permit to keep the cobras.
