Police in Naivasha have arrested the mastermind behind the spate of carjackings along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway targeting matatus. The suspect was arrested barely a fortnight after his three colleagues were shot dead moments after carjacking a matatu and robbing passengers near Naivasha town. Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed the arrest noting that they were still pursuing the other two suspects who were in hiding. “The suspects were six in total and three were gunned down and three managed to escape with gunshot wounds but we have managed to arrest the ringleader,” said the source.
