IPOH: The six-month-old baby girl who died of suspected abuse in Manjung early Saturday (March 24) could have been injured severely a few days before being sent to the hospital. Perak CID chief Senior Asst Comm Yahya Abd Rahman said preliminary investigations found several old wounds believed to be caused by physical abuse. "The toddler was only sent to the hospital when the injuries became more serious," he told reporters after the 211th Police Day celebration here Sunday (March 25). SAC Yahya said the baby girl, who was in a coma, died at 6.45am on Saturday. On Saturday, the toddler was rushed to the Sri Manjung Hospital by a guardian at around 2am but died four hours later.
