BUTTERWORTH: The death of a four-month-old boy at a 24-hour childcare centre in the Hospital Seberang Jaya compound last week has been confirmed as suffocation. Penang police chief Comm Datuk Azizee Ismail said preliminary post-mortem findings established that the infant died from asphyxia caused by suffocation. He said that the investigation paper is currently being finalised, with several key aspects still under scrutiny before it is referred to prosecutors. On March 10, two women employees of the centre were remanded for seven days to assist investigations.
