Police said the accused S. Senthil (34) had taken the girl’s photo from her WhatsApp profile and morphed it. When her father came across the morphed photograph, he lodged a complaint with the Kanniyakumari Superintendent of Police G. Dharmarajan. When the team moved closer to the mobile phone tower location, they realised that Senthil was using it. A special team went to Chennai and secured the accused. The Kalyakkavilai police have registered a case under Section 67A of Information Technology Act and Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code.
