SRINAGAR: A police sub-inspector (SI) was killed and a Special Police Officer injured after terrorists opened fire on a police party in Zakura area of Srinagar on Friday afternoon. One terrorist was arrested while two escaped from the scene.The deceased was identified as SI Imran Tak.Police said three terrorists travelling in a car opened fire on the police van, causing injuries to Tak. The police party however, succeeded in intercepting the car in which militants were travelling and arrested one terrorist, while other two others fled from the scene.Barely a few hours after the attack, security forces gunned down one of the two terrorists, who fled the site earlier. The militant was identified as Mujees Ahmad of Parimpora , a part of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba . Ahmad allegedly had links with the so-called Islamic State.
