An off-duty police officer who was with his family after watching Sesame Street Live spotted a wanted man and arrested him in the street. Daniel Kern, 28, was on his way home from Madison Square Garden in New York City when he spotted the man who left his victim paralyzed from the waist down. He was with his wife, one-year-old daughter and parents when he spotted Maximiliano Brito, 23, who was wanted for shooting a 21-year-old man in April. He was unarmed and quickly passed his daughter to his wife and begged her to get back into their car and drive home. According to the complaint, Brito fired three strikes and hit the victim Rahiem Murray once in the spine.
