A KCSE invigilator was rushed to hospital after he was shot in the arm and leg by a police officer who was manning exams at Gagra Secondary SchoolSimon Ongiti was taken to Bondo subcounty hospital following the incident at 10.45am on Thursday. Siaya county police coordinator Chripus Mutali said they were investigating whether the shooting by sergeant Benson Asesa was accidental or intentional. Asesa, who was immediately withdrawn from the examination centre, recorded a statement on the incident. "We are waiting to identify the degree of the injuries before the teacher can file a case," said Mutali. Candidates had to be counseled before writing their mid-morning examinations.
