Jack Morris found support from fourteen committee members (87.5 percent) and his former Detroit Tigers teammate Alan Trammell received support from thirteen committee members (81.3 percent). At one point, Miller had missed enshrinement by a single vote in the 2010 Expansion Era Committee election. The images of Miller conducting court on ball fields in spring training with dozens of ball players surrounding him are fondly etched into our collective memories. The ball players were emboldened to voice their opinions on issues that mattered to them such as the length of the season and scheduling.
