Amid natural disasters, the Philippines highlighted the importance of working together with other Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) members during the recent APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) meeting. The ABAC meeting was held in Sydney, Australia last February 12 to 15. Meanwhile, during the meeting, ABAC underscored the importance of building a “robust digital economy,” which includes focus on holistic human capital development on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. As businesspeople, we are adept at simplifying complex issues and finding innovative solutions,” ABAC and APEC Chairman Dato Rohana Tan Sri Mahmood said. The Philippines is set to host the next ABAC meeting.
