PETALING JAYA: Convicted serial rapist Selva Kumar Subbiah will be allowed to return to Malaysia from Canada, but will be closely monitored by police. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said that authorities have ways of monitoring those involved in such criminal offences. "(According to) our law, if someone has (served) his legal sentence overseas, then it is completed. Khalid added that local police are working closely with Canada on the case, including sharing intelligence and criminal records. A Canadian local daily reported that Subbiah will be deported to Malaysia following his mandatory release on Jan 29.
