Convicted murderer escapes from Sask. prison


Police are searching for a convicted murderer who escaped from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert, Sask. Roger Joseph Gillet, 64, was not present when the prison counted the inmates in its minimum security unit at 10 a.m. CST this morning. Roger Joseph Gillet is five feet seven inches tall and weighs about 179 pounds. Gillet has scars on his back and chin and tattoos on the abdomen, chin, upper right arm and left arm. He is currently serving a sentence for second-degree murder, forcible confinement, robbery, prison breach and escaping lawful custody.
