With the Kerrymen out on their feet and trailing by a point at the end of extra-time, Emmet Ralph was called for delaying a free. Seán Lonergan advanced the kick 50 metres to inside the arc. After some deliberations, Éanna Ó Conchúir opted to take the free back outside and curled over a stunning two-point winner in the 82nd minute.
