Nearby pine trees were threatened by the McNally Rd fire. The fire, at a McNally Rd property in Corriedale, threatened a row of pine trees. It was thought to have been extinguished but reignited yesterday morning. The Weston Volunteer Fire Brigade was called about 8.15am after it was reported a controlled rubbish burn, previously been put out by the person who lit it, had reignited and started to spread to a thick, 50m long stretch of trees. At least three tankers were at the scene at 5pm yesterday, and a digger was on site to assist.
