Air Selangor has suspended a contractor following failed road restoration along Jalan Air Hitam in Sepang which led to a motorcyclist being injured. On March 24, a motorcyclist travelling towards Serdang was thrown from his bike after hitting a sunken patch on the road. Initial investigations by Public Works Department (JKR) found the road surface had subsided at a section where the contractor recently patched a burst pipe. An Air Selangor spokesperson said the contractor used a cold mix as a stopgap measure to repair the damage. “A show-cause letter has been issued and the contractor is suspended in line with our internal policy,” said the spokesperson.
