A container truck loaded with fertilizer collided with a train running from Polgahawela to Ratmalana on the main line at the rail crossing in the Wilwatta area, Mirigama today (9). But the accident caused disruptions to the morning commuter train services. It is reported that the container truck entered the railway track carelessly while the railway crossing was closed. The trains running on the main line were halted temporarily due to the accident. Both the container truck and the train have sustained damages.
