Photo: MinistryDHAKA, March 28, 2026 (BSS) - Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the constitution will be amended by giving top priority to the expectations of the people and the aspirations of the martyrs of the student-mass uprising. The minister said that all amendment processes would be carried out through a consensus-based agreement founded on the ‘July National Charter’ signed among political parties. “We will proceed based on the July National Charter, giving due importance to the current expectations of the people and the dreams of the martyrs of the July Uprising,” he added. Ali Hossain Fakir and Principal (Additional IGP) of Bangladesh Police Academy G M Azizur Rahman were present at the programme.
