A Catholic priest in Busia county has said he is backing the constitutional review process to create more positions in government. Amukura Catholic priest Fr Dunstan Epalaat said every Kenyan has a right to seek the country’s leadership instead of it rotating between two tribes. Speaking during a funds drive at Kwangamor Catholic Church, Fr Epalaat said the Constitution needs to be amended to create a level playing field. “If the review of the Constitution will create positions to go beyond two tribes, I think and believe that is the way to go,” Epalaat said. He added that an expanded Cabinet will accommodate more communities and create balanced leadership.
