July 16, 2021 by Mihi Perera No Comments1.5 million doses of Moderna vaccine manufactured in the United States were delivered to the Katunayake International Airport a short while ago. The officer in charge of the Katunayake Airport said that the consignment of doses was brought by a Qatar Airways flight. The vaccine was donated to Sri Lanka by the United States of America under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO) Covax program. Accordingly, this is the first time that Moderna vaccine has been brought to Sri Lanka.
