Olympic 3,000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto escaped unhurt after a serious road accident on Tuesday night. According to the police, Kipruto was driving the vehicle when the accident occurred along Eldoret-Kapsabet road near Eldoret International Airport. The accident involved Kipruto’s Toyota V8 and a tractor as the two were driving in the same direction. Kipruto’s car is said to have hit the tractor from the rear. The vehicle was towed to Langas Police Station in Eldoret, awaiting further investigation.
