“Don’t ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it,” she tweeted. ET and you will enjoy common sense politics, great music, and inspiring stories. But the idea that some people want their music and politics kept separate would be news to anyone following just how much conservatives have embraced musicians when it supported their deeply held beliefs. But being upset that artists made a joke about an anti-Trump book seems to be a weak rationale for a separation of music and politics.
