However, The Daily Mail report that Gallagher is ‘determined’ to stay at Chelsea beyond the end of the campaign and this remains his ‘priority’. Chelsea are likely to demand a fee in excess of £50million from potential suitors for Gallagher, whose wage demands are proving a stumbling block in contract negotiations as it stands. Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool, Gallagher said he ‘absolutely loved’ playing under Pochettino. ‘Obviously there is another year and a half left of my contract and I absolutely love playing with the manager,’ he told Sky Sports.
