Connectivity poses a problem for rural business adopting technology

Rural connectivity poses a problem for business adopting cloud-based technology, says an Amazon principal solutions architect. Amazon principal solutions architect Jonathon Meichtry said New Zealand had a good network between cities but rural connectivity was still an issue. Cloud services were also being adopted by a lot of medium-sized business in Southland, he said. Meichtry has more than 25 years in the tech industry, joining Amazon Website Services in 2014 and working in Wellington since 2016. He specialises in using cloud-based solutions to solve business challenges.
