Right across Asia, personal connections – many of them forged over food and generous hospitality – are at the heart of successful professional relationships. We’re all familiar with New Zealand’s trade success over the past few decades, as it moved from being a largely Western-oriented economy to an Asia-integrated one. We’ve seen it in action at the Asia New Zealand Foundation after appointing our first South Island-based staff member last year.
