GUWAHATI: With congress facing one of worst defeat in recently held assembly polls in Assam, mint fresh Assam Pradesh Congress committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora exuded confidence that grand old party will reach out to the people of the state.Congress has upheaval task ahead as it will face bypolls of Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat and Boithalangso assembly seat. Lakhimpur seat fall vacant after Sarbananda Sonowal vacated it following his election from Majuli assembly seat.Boithalangso seat will witness election as congress MLA, Mansingh Rongpi has quitted congress and joined BJP Congress is presently preparing a report on the reasons which led to grand old party's debacle in its bastion Assam. Bora said, "We will have to take congress to the people and regain the lost faith of the people. "Bora said that new faces will inducted right from the grassroots to the Pradesh congress level. " We are for rapprochement and bring back those leaders and party workers who seriously believe in congress ideology."
