Forty four Congress MLAs, who were whisked away from the state and taken to Bengaluru ahead of the Rajya Sabha election, returned to Ahmedabad in the wee hours of Monday. The MLAs were taken to a resort in Anand, and will be brought to Gandhinagar for voting on Tuesday morning amid presence of a large number of policemen. The MLAs, who were put up in a resort in Bengaluru since July 29, landed at the SVPI Airport at 4.30 am on Monday. “All our MLAs have returned to Gujarat, and are now at a resort in Anand. “All our MLAs have decided not to go to their home even on ‘Rakshabandhan’,” he said.
