New Delhi, Aug. 14: The Congress today asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologise from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the child deaths in Gorakhpur when he addresses the nation tomorrow on Independence Day. "These deaths were caused by criminal negligence," Congress leader Ajay Maken said. "The Prime Minister should apologise for the criminal negligence, for the casual and irresponsible approach," Maken added. "If the BJP leadership believes the children died in the natural course and not because of criminal negligence, how can there be a fair investigation? An FIR should be lodged under Section 304-part II (for causing death due to criminal negligence)."
