The party's Gujarat MLAs returned from Karnataka on Monday ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections. (PTI) New Delhi, Aug. 7: Congress MLAs in Gujarat today took a vow on the eve of one of the most controversial Rajya Sabha elections ever, promising to defeat the machinations of political rivals that had "crossed all limits". "There is no confusion about the two Nationalist Congress Party legislators, either, as Sharad Pawar has conveyed his support to Ahmedbhai," a Congress insider said. "We won't be surprised if he allows his MLAs to vote for the Congress at the eleventh hour. He said the entire country was watching this Rajya Sabha election, and the outcome would be a commentary on the Congress's resilience."
