Actor Vivek Oberoi, best known for his work in films such as Company and Rakht Charitra, will make his Tamil debut with Ajith's upcoming yet-untitled next project. Speaking about his role, a source close to the unit said, "After much contemplation, the makers have finalized Vivek as the antagonist. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film stars Ajith, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan in pivotal roles. Tipped to be a spy thriller, the film features Ajith Kumar as an Interpol officer, who is in charge of a crime investigation that happens in Chennai. Anirudh Ravichander is collaborating with Ajith Kumar for the second time after the commercial success of Vedhalam.
