Australian Super Rugby side Western Force have confirmed the signing of former Ireland full-back Rob Kearney. "I look forward to moving to Western Australia to begin building relationships with my new teammates and coaches alike and to meet the ever-growing Western Force fan base which also includes a strong Irish contingent." Kearney will join a team that rejoined the Super Rugby landscape this year after two seasons in the wilderness playing in the ‘Global Rapid Rugby’ tournament. Covid-19 brought them back into the fold as they took part in Super Rugby AU, finishing bottom of the standings with no wins from eight. "Rob is a fantastic signing, but more than that he is a great person who will be able to bring a lot to WA rugby," Force head of rugby Matt Hodgson stated.
