Eric Bahrt writes: “America has a free press against which no one, including the president of the United States, is ‘safe’ from being exposed if they do wrong.”I absolutely disagree with this outrageous claim. Nowhere else in the world but Thailand could Mr Bahrt use such words as “fools” and “barbarians” to describe his hosts, who in this country happen to be extra-broadminded. I challenge Mr Bahrt to call Americans by the same names in the American press. He will have my sincere respect if he gets that letter published. No human beings, regardless of the colour of their skins, are more human than others.
