After a 22-year tenure as concertmaster, Warwick Adeney will step down from the role to pursue teaching and music-making more broadly. After 22 years as Queensland Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, Warwick Adeney has announced he will farewell the orchestra in 2023 in to pursue teaching and music-making more broadly across the community. Throughout his tenure, Adeney has served under Chief Conductors Michael Christie, Johannes Fritzsch and Alondra de la Parra, and seen the orchestra go through major organisational changes, including the 2001 amalgamation of the Queensland Philharmonic and Queensland Symphony Orchestras. At the completion of his studies, he joined the Queensland Theatre Orchestra and rose to the role of Concertmaster in 1989.
