The apple industry is now being audited by Chinese customs officials checking on New Zealand’s Covid-19 compliance. Export industries are jittery as new safety audits by Chinese authorities stretch from the seafood industry to the apple industry. The audits are being conducted virtually with the help of the Ministry for Primary Industries, which regulates export facilities.
