What immediately came to my mind was the wanton waste of good and complete sets of computers being crushed by the excavator. I am not familiar with the law pertaining to items seized by the authorities from illegal activities. My neighbour’s young children would have found the computers very useful. Other families who are in financial hardship would have also welcomed any free computer units given to them. But from my limited understanding of computers, formatting the hard disc would wipe away any previous data contained in the CPU and the computers could be used again.
