Comprehensive Cybersecurity law to be passed soon - Communications Minster

"Now we're in the process of passing a comprehensive law on Cyber Security and the Ministry of Information is concerned about the proliferation of fake news items on our social media platforms. We all have a competing right and we need to strike an even balance to protect everyone's right," Ursula-Owusu Ekuful said in an with GhanaWeb on Thursday, February 6. The comprehensive Cybersecurity law is however projected to be in place by the end of this year. Meanwhile, Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako, an Advisor at the National Cybersecurity Centre, has revealed that his outfit is working to allay possible infractions in the cyber space ahead of the 2020 elections in December.
