A group of Visva-Bharati students on Friday lodged a police complaint accusing vice-chancellor Bidyut Chakrabarty of plotting an attack on students at the varsity on January 15 night. Along with the complaint, a video clip that contains a purported conversation between the VC and a student was also submitted to the police. “In the video, it is clear that the VC is asking to bring goons from outside to give us ‘medicine’. The authorities in Visva-Bharati, however, claimed the voice in the video did not match with that of the VC.
