Convener Julie Larkins said there was an excited atmosphere in the hall. The competition was open to ages 5 to 20, and hosted by the Dunedin Performing Arts Competitions Society. It would continue throughout the weekend. It was good to get the event running after it was cancelled last year due to Covid-19, she said.
