The government announced the setting up of the eMPF Platform Company by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority as its wholly-owned subsidiary. The project aims to improve the administration processes of the MPF schemes for stakeholders, including about 300,000 employers and more than 4 million scheme members. The platform will improve operational efficiency, reduce human errors and paper-based transactions, improve user experience and lower scheme administration costs, the Financial Secretary, Paul Chan Mo-po, said. Ayesha Macpherson Lau, who become chair of the MPFA on March 17, will also be chairperson and non-executive director of the company.
