He told police he accompanied Anek to a meeting with Mr Natthaphum, who was Anek’s business partner, at a restaurant on Rama V area, late on Thursday night. Mr Natthaphum then ran up to them and fired more shots at Anek, also shooting the taxi driver. When they arrived at the U-Turn under Nakhon-in Bridge, Mr Natthaphum asked Anek to stop the vehicle, saying he wanted to urinate. Methaya Saengthong, 46, the elder sister of the slain cabbie, burst into tears on receiving the bad news from police. Mr Thotsaporn said he immediately carried Anek from the pickup and hailed a passing taxi.
