The commuters blamed commercial drivers for not being considerate as they did not plan for the hike in fares as two fallen containers caused gridlock on the road. One of the two containers fell right in the middle of the road, causing gridlock for Lagos-bound vehicles. A commuter, Bola Anifowose, who boarded a Berger-bound commercial bus from the Mowe area of Ogun State, said the fare was increased from N200 to N500.
