People from a Hutterite colony in southwest Saskatchewan are upset their community has been identified by the provincial health authority as the centre of a COVID-19 outbreak. On Wednesday night, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said two members of a rural household in a Hutterite colony tested positive for COVID-19 last week. He said he and other community members were upset by the health authority's decision to identify Hutterite communities in Maple Creek as the location of a new COVID-19 outbreak. "Whenever there's an outbreak there's a need to be public about that, and there's various reasons for that," Shahab said. Huang said with the right education and support, community members will be able to take the appropriate precautions to protect themselves from COVID-19.
